What if the accident was not my fault?
Damages to the vehicle while in your care is your responsibility. We will try our utmost to recoup all monies lost from the person responsible for the damage. However, please keep in mind that very few people on the road have insurance and many are unable to pay out of their own pockets. In this situation, we are forced to claim from our insurance hence having to an excess resulting in the customer forfeiting their deposit.
We, therefore, recommend “Super Cover” insurance to limit your liability to only that of your deposit amount. After the accident, the customer would be requested to pay a new deposit before a replacement vehicle is provided. This money would then be repaid to the customer if we have been paid by the 3rd party responsible for the damage.
Negligence, Vehicle Damages & Call Outs
Any damages to the vehicle will be charged to the renter, a vehicle inspection is done when the vehicle is handed over. Any new damages thereafter will be charged to the renter according to the insurance they have chosen.
The Renter will be charged a call out fee for negligence. e.g lights were left on and the battery died etc
The renter will also be liable for all damages to the vehicle as a result of negligence. e.g not checking oil & water levels consistently.
As the vehicle is in your possession for long periods of time, we recommend checking oil levels atleast every 14 days and if you notice any leaks to notify us soon as possible.
Tyres damaged / worn due to negligence or irreponsible driving will also be charged to the renter.
My tyre is damaged, what should I do?
All damaged tyres to be reported to MotoRent. Worn tyres will be replaced at our expense. Torn, cut, damaged and punctured tyres will be replaced/fixed at the drivers expense.
During what hours can I return my vehicle?

DO NOT entertain any tow-truck’s without our consent. If you choose to move the vehicle with your own tow-truck, you will be responsible for the cost thereof.
Failure to comply with Terms & Conditions of Rental
These are in place to protect both parties and we take the breach of the terms very serious.
Failure to comply with any of our terms expressly stipulated in our contracts may result in the immediate cancellation of the rental, the collection of the vehicle and forfeiture of all rental and deposits held by MotoRent.
My vehicle was involved in a commission of a crime during my lease. What does this mean ?
We hand over vehicles to customers in good will and pray that all our customers are honest.
If we are contacted by the Cops we will do everything in our power to assist in the investigation.
Should the vehicle be involved in any crimes, the contract would automatically terminate and all outstanding days will be forfeited.
If the vehicle is in the impound, The deposit would automatically be forfeited.
Unfortunately removing the vehicle from the impound is a costly affair and can take a very long time.
We are sometimes then forced to do police clearance on the vehicle, this would furthermore entail relicensing as well.
All costs incurred during the above process will be for the expense of the customer.
Under no circumstances will a vehicle be returned to a customer once the vehicle was “involved” in a crime.
